Commercial Carpet Cleaning in Peterborough

Planned carpet care that keeps traffic lanes looking even and pushes replacement further out.

Carpet is the biggest surface in most Peterborough offices

It is also the one that shows neglect first. Traffic lanes darken, entrance carpet holds winter salt and sand, and a coffee spill in a corridor becomes the thing visitors look at on their way to reception.

The damage is not only cosmetic. Grit tracked in from the parking lot works down into the pile and cuts at the fibres every time somebody walks over it, so carpet cleaned only when it looks bad has already been wearing for months.

We build carpet programs for offices, clinics, schools, and plazas here in the city and out through the towns across the Kawarthas we serve.

What a carpet program includes

  • Low moisture encapsulation cleaning for corridors, open offices, and traffic lanes
  • Hot water extraction for deeper restorative cleaning across whole areas
  • Spot and stain treatment on coffee, ink, grease, food, and winter salt
  • Pre-vacuuming to pull out dry soil before any moisture goes down
  • Entrance matting cleaned so it keeps doing its job
  • Odour treatment on spills that soaked through into the backing
  • Upholstered chairs and fabric panels cleaned on the same visit
  • A written cycle so you know what gets cleaned, where, and when

How we clean carpet

Restorative cleaning follows a set order, and the order matters more than the machine.

We vacuum thoroughly first, because dry soil is easiest to remove while it is still dry. Spots and stains get treated individually next, since a general clean will not touch most of them. The carpet is then agitated with cleaning solution so the soil releases from the fibre rather than being pushed around, and hot water extraction flushes it out. Finally we help the carpet dry, with air movement where a room needs to be usable quickly.

Interim cleaning works differently. Encapsulation puts down a small amount of solution that crystallizes around the soil so it can be vacuumed away on the next visit. It uses a fraction of the water, which is why it suits a corridor that cannot be roped off.

How it works

  1. Request a quoteTell us what your carpet is doing and where the traffic goes. It takes about two minutes.
  2. Free on-site walkthroughWe look at fibre, backing, condition, and traffic patterns, then build a cycle around them. No pressure, no obligation.
  3. We handle the restCleaning runs on schedule, and you can see every visit through your client portal.

Maintenance beats replacement

Replacing carpet in an occupied building is expensive twice over: the flooring itself, and the disruption of moving people and furniture out of the way. A planned cycle is the cheaper path, and it is easier to budget because the cost lands in predictable pieces instead of one large hit.

What a cycle costs turns on the fibre, the area, and how hard the traffic is, all of which what drives commercial cleaning prices sets out. Well-maintained carpet also holds less of what gets tracked in. Dust and grit left in the pile are dust and grit your occupants walk on and stir up, so a clean carpet does quiet work for the air in the room as well as for the look of it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should commercial carpet be cleaned?

Traffic decides it, not the calendar. Entrances and corridors pick up grit and winter salt far faster than a private office, so most buildings run frequent low moisture cleaning in those lanes and deeper extraction less often elsewhere.

What is the difference between encapsulation and hot water extraction?

Encapsulation is the interim method. It uses much less water, so carpet is back in service sooner, which suits corridors that cannot be closed off. Hot water extraction flushes soil out of the pile and is the deeper of the two. Most programs pair them.

How disruptive is carpet cleaning to our staff?

Very little, because we schedule around you. Extraction runs after hours or on a weekend so carpet has time to dry before your people are back on it, and larger floors can be cleaned in sections.

Can badly worn carpet be brought back?

Often, yes. Restorative cleaning lifts soil that has settled deep into the fibres and evens out heavy traffic lanes. It will not repair delamination, burns, or bleached spots, and we will tell you plainly if a section is past cleaning.
